The CEC is an autonomous and independent collegiate body that ensures scientific research respects the dignity, rights, welfare, and integrity of participants.
- Accreditation: The committee is accredited by the Regional Ministerial Secretariat (Seremi) of Health.
- Scope: It authorizes institutional projects and those conducted at Clínica Las Condes, our strategic partner.
- Requirement: Any research involving humans, identifiable information, or human biological samples requires CEC approval before starting.
Objectives
- To protect the rights, safety, and well-being of individuals participating in research projects.
- To review, analyze, and authorize institutional research projects involving human subjects or information obtained from them.
- To supervise and monitor the progress of ongoing research projects, ensuring strict compliance with national and international regulations on the matter.
